Head Mya 6 with Mya 10 Bindings. Head?s Mya No. 6 skis combine beauty and performance for a line made 100% by women and 100% for women. The stunningly beautiful graphics were designed by BMW Group DesignworksUSA (yes, as in the car company), and the elegance shows. These skis feature sandwich construction, a transparent UHM base, and Head?s Flow Ride Technology for smooth turns all the way down the mountain. The only ski in the Head ladies line that contains metal, this narrower-profiled ski is for an expert level woman skier. Intelligence Technology uses fibers placed in an argyle pattern in the core, in front of the binding. At faster speeds, vibrations are converted into electrical energy, and the forefront of the ski stiffens up. At slower speeds, the fibers stay limp, making the ski easier to manipulate and maintaining its ability to flex into its sidecut. By reducing weight and softening flex in the tip of the ski, Flow Ride technology gives the ski float in soft snow like rocker would, but a traditional camber profile maintains effective edge grip on hard snow.
