*ATTENTION ALL MIDDLE SCHOOL SKIERS*
Ski racing is a fast paced, amazing sport combining excitement, skill, speed and competition. In Southeast Michigan, there are over 40 high schools offering both junior varsity and varsity ski teams. Our goal is to introduce ski racing to middle school age skiers (grades 5-8) to prepare them for their high school ski team experience. The middle school program will cover the fundamentals of ski racing with on-hill course training, technical strategies, and race opportunities.
Skiers will be grouped with others from their school district to form "teams", and will be scored throughout the season as individuals and also as teams. SkiersPeak.com in conjunction with the expert coaching staff of T.T.C., aims to build a strong race development program for middle school skiers to allow kids to experience the thrill of ski racing, all the while having fun on the slopes with their friends and teammates. The middle school ski racing program hits the slopes of Pine Knob beginning Wednesday night, January 7, 2009. The program runs for six consecutive weeks, from 6:30-8:30p.m. Four of these evenings will consist of instruction and course run-throughs, while two of the evenings will be middle school races. Skiers are also eligible to race in the Thunderbolt Trophy Race as well as the Cuthy Cup(2/27) and the Dave Czerwinski Memorial Race
T.T.C. Race Coaching Staff is comprised of experienced high school and U.S.S.A. coaches who guarantee to make learning to race FUN!

I understand that there are certain physical inherent risks in skiing and ski racing, and I release Thunderbolt Training Centers, Learn to Ski Inc., Mt. Holly Ski School, Pine Knob Ski School, their respective staffs, and any person officially connected with Thunderbolt Training Centers from any liability arising out of any injury a member may sustain while participating in any of the activities during this Thunderbolt program. I understand that injuries of all types are common and ordinary occurrence of the activities. With full knowledge and understanding of the risk of severe injury and death involved in ski race training and competition, I freely and voluntarily accept and fully assume the risk that I may suffer temporary, permanent or even fatal injuries, even if I follow the instructions or advice of Thunderbolt.
